Project Instructions

Step 1 Use large flat brush to apply two coats of Medium Green acrylic paint to back and edges of plate. After first coat is dry, sand the wood surface lightly. Apply second coat. Dry thoroughly.

Step 2 Paint Ivory in center of plate, applying two coats as above. Dry thoroughly.

Step 3 To create stripes, place ¾" tape in place vertically on plate edges. Pull tape over center of plate so stripes line up on all edges. Use fingers to press tape tightly to surface. Use stencil brush to paint two thin coats of Ivory to create stripes. It is always best to use little paint on the stencil brush to keep the paint from seeping under the tape. After Ivory paint has been applied, wipe brush thoroughly, but do not clean in water.

Step 4 Tape script letter stencil in center of place. Stencil letter, again being careful not to use too much paint. Apply two or three coats as needed. Let dry.

Step 5 For a protective finish, spray with two or three coats of satin varnish.

Step 6 Attach sticker flowers, as shown in photo or as desired.
