Material List

  • Favorite Findingsā„¢ Buttons: White (Cloud White, Black Glitter, Tiny Orange (Mini Primary)
  • Coordinating Scrapbook Paper (solid black, 4 prints in orange and green, 2 purples)
  • Cardstock (color of choice)
  • Embroidery Floss (green)
  • Bone Folder
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Embroidery Needle
  • Paper Adhesive (of choice)
  • Hot Glue Gun and Glue
  • Computer and Printer

Project Instructions

Measure and cut a piece of cardstock 10-¾-inches x 4-inches.

Using bone folder, score and fold along the short side at 4-3/8-inches. The shorter side is the front of the card.

Cover top of card with orange paper.

Cover inside of card with green paper.

Measure and cut a 2-¼-inches x 3-inches piece of purple paper. Round the corners.

Glue this monster head to the lower inside section of card.

Measure and cut a 2-1/8-inches x 1-inch piece of second purple paper.

Cut one side in random spikes.

Glue to the bottom edge of orange paper as monster hair.

Cut a thin strip of black paper.

Glue in place for mouth.

Glue two tiny orange buttons at either end.

Stitch a black glitter button using green embroidery floss to a large white button.

Repeat to create two eyes.

Glue stacked buttons on monster face.

On computer, print out “Come As You Aren’t” on white paper.

Cut words out and glue in place.

Print out “Halloween Costume Party” on white paper.

Cut out in a cartoon bubble shape and glue in place.

Print out party invitation specifics and glue inside card.
