Use a craft stick to apply a thin layer of adhesive to a small area of the vase. Dab a small amount of adhesive on the textured back of a tile. Place tile on the vase. Continue applying tile, alternating colors randomly. Leave a space of 1/8" or less between tiles for grout. Let each side of the vase dry 20-30 minutes before moving on to the next side. After applying tile to the entire vase, let the adhesive dry for at least 12 hours before grouting.
Open the grout and add a small amount of paint to the grout. Mix with a craft stick until the grout is an even brown color.
Use the plastic grout spreader tool or gloved hands to scoop out the grout and spread it over the tiles and into the crevices between the tiles. Work the grout into the crevices until it becomes smooth and level with the tile surface.
After applying the grout, wait 15 minutes for the grout to harden before cleaning the tile.
To clean the tile, dampen the sponge, squeezing excess water out. Gently wipe the tile surface with the sponge, removing excess grout from all surfaces. Allow to it dry overnight.
Gently loosen any remaining excess grout from tile with a craft stick, and polish with a clean cloth.
