    She'll be seeing spots with this easy-to-make ceramic Mother's Day mug with pencil chenille stem flower.

    Time Required:

    20 minutes

    Materials

    • Creatology™ Mug Kit
    • Americana® Gloss Enamel – Lavender and Baby Pink
    • Pencils
    • Creatology™ Chenille Stems – Green and Colors of Choice for Flower(s)
    • Creatology™ Construction Paper – Green
    • ArtMinds™ Adhesive Dots
    • Spouncer™
    • Scissors

    Instructions

    1. Use a Spouncer™ to paint polka dots on mug. Let dry.
    2. Twist two chenille stems together. Bend and twist to make a flower shape. Leave a 1_" piece of chenille stem that can be attached to the pencil with an adhesive dot. (Adhesive dot will later be covered with a green chenille stem.)
    3. Coil a piece of chenille stem as a button center of the flower. Attach with a glue dot.
    4. On top 3" of pencil, place adhesive dots and wrap green chenille stems around.
    5. Coil a piece of chenille stem on a pencil. Pull off of pencil and twist around green area under the flower as leaves.
    6. Place pencil in mug and add shredded green construction paper as grass.

    Materials

    • Creatology™ Mug Kit
    • Sharpie® Marker – Black
    • Celebrate It® Ribbon – Black
    • Recollections™ Adhesive Tape
    • Low Heat Glue Gun
    • Flowers – Style of Choice
    • Pen or Pencil

    Instructions

    1. Draw design using Sharpie® marker.
    2. Remove flower from stem.
    3. Remove top of pen and hot glue flower into opening.
    4. Place a piece of adhesive tape on pen or pencil the length that you want to wrap your pen/pencil.
    5. Wrap ribbon around pen/pencil.

    30 minutes plus drying time

    Materials

    • Creatology™ Mug Kit
    • Martha Stewart Crafts™ Craft Paint – Vanilla Bean, Rubber Ducky, Marmalade, Raspberry Ice, Pool and Wedding Cake
    • Flowers – Style of Choice
    • Styrofoam® Ball, Small
    • Low Heat Glue Gun
    • Ribbon
    • Paper Shred
    • Pen (or Pencil)
    • Paintbrush
    • Adhesive Tape

    Instructions

    1. Paint tree with Vanilla Bean brown. Let dry.
    2. Paint birds and flowers in varying colors around the branches.
    3. Add dots and swirls with Vanilla Bean brown.
    4. Remove flower from stem.
    5. Remove top of pen and hot glue flower into opening.
    6. Place a piece of adhesive tape the length that you want to wrap your pen.
    7. Wrap ribbon around pen.
    8. Add Styrofoam® ball inside mug to hold pen.
    9. Add paper shred to top of Styrofoam®.
