Project Instructions
Step: 1
Painting
Basecoat entire canvas White using 1-inch glaze brush.
Step: 2
Apply pattern.
Step: 3
Pick your favorite patterns and apply to tags. Paint as you are painting the canvas.
Step: 4
With No. 14 shader brush, basecoat back package and letters in mix of 2 parts Sunbright Yellow to 1 part Light Foliage Green. With the 1-inch glaze brush, float shadows Light Foliage Green.
Step: 5
Stripe letters and paint dots on package Hydrangea Pink, shade with Fuchsia using No. 6 shader. Remaining dots are as follows: Tropic Bay Blue shade Laguna, Sunbright Yellow shade light Dark Goldenrod, 2 parts Sunbright Yellow to 1 part Tangerine shade Tangerine.
Step: 6
Line lettering Light Foliage Green using No. 0 liner.
Step: 7
Basecoat tissue paper Sunbright Yellow using 1-inch glaze brush. Float shadows Dark Goldenrod using same brush.
Step: 8
Basecoat bag light orange mix from above using 1-inch glaze brush. Float shadows Tangerine using same brush. Paint snowflakes in White using No, 0 liner and stylus for dots.
Step: 9
Basecoat Tropic Bay Blue hat box using 1-inch glaze brush. Stripe candy canes in White using No. 6 shader.
Step: 10
Stripe candy canes Fuchsia using No, 6 shader and Light Foliage Green using No. 0 liner. Line edges of candy canes Laguna using No. 0 liner. Stripe between candy canes with Sunbright Yellow using No. 0 liner.
Step: 11
Float all shadows Laguna using 1-inch glaze brush.
Step: 12
Basecoat Hydrangea pink bow and package using appropriate sized brush. Paint lettering on package Fuchsia using No. 0 liner. Paint dots White using stylus. Float shadows Fuchsia using appropriate sized brush.
Step: 13
Basecoat Sunbright Yellow package and bow using No. 14 shader. On package, paint holly leaves light green mix from above using No, 6 shader. Float shadows Light Foliage green using same brush. Using pencil eraser dot berries in Fuchsia. Float highlight Hydrangea Pink using No. 6 shader. Dot White on berries using stylus.
Step: 14
Base bow light orange mix from above using No. 6 shader. Float shadows Tangerine using same brush.
Step: 15
To Finish
Apply Satin Exterior /Interior Varnish.
Step: 16
Glue ribbon along edge and tags to packages of choice.
Tips
When working on large areas always use the largest brush you have. Don’t noddle around with a little brush.
