Project Instructions

Tree
Step 1 Invert tomato cage to sit flat.

Step 2 Fluff boughs of 24" wreath and slide over narrow point of the cage. Twist some of the boughs around metal structure to secure wreath in place.

Step 3 Install the other wreaths in the same manner, stacking narrower widths as you proceed higher. With wire clippers, cut excess sections out of the top two wreaths to size them for a sleek fit. Bend the metal wreath frames to unite cut ends, twisting boughs to connect and secure.

Step 4 Trim the extended wire ends of the tomato cage to be the same size as the lowest point.

Step 5 Heavily spray the wreaths with Flurry to create a flocking look. Let first coat sit about 15 minutes to firm up slightly. Apply an additional heavy coat to build up look. While Flurry is wet, sprinkle opalescent glitter over boughs to add more shimmer.Let dry as instructed on can, about 5-6 hours.

Step 6 Spray top of mercury glass ball with Flurry, sprinkle with opalescent glitter and let dry.

Step 7 Place tree frame in planter, then decorate. Place mercury ball amongst wire ends of the tomato cage to hold in place. (The tall fiberglass planter shown here was sprayed with Design Master® Modern Metals, Black Chromo.)

Ornament #1

Step 1 Remove clasp of silver ball ornaments.

Step 2 Slip ornament over tip of your small finger, protected with a latex glove.

Step 3 Spray the top side with Flurry.

Step 4 Sprinkle opalescent glitter on surface while still wet.

Step 5 Let dry and recap.

Ornament #2

Step 1 Holding clasp of the clear glass ball ornament, mist surface with water from 18" (+) away.

Step 2 Immediately spray with Super Silver or 24KT Gold. Let set for 15-20 seconds then lightly wipe off excess moisture.

Step 3 Paint does not adhere where droplets are to reveal underlying surface color in an organic pattern.

Step 4 Repeat steps in areas missed, if desired.

Ornament #3

Step 1 Drill a small hole into top of wood cutout.

Step 2 Apply two light coats of Flat White. Let dry, then flip and repeat on other side.

Step 3 When dry, sand the surface with a sheet of paper to smooth imperfections.

Step 4 Spray Glue for Glitter and sprinkle with loose glitter or crystal flakes. Let dry.

Step 5 Turn ornament over and repeat.

Step 6 When dry, adorn with a few rhinestones and string hole with ribbon to fashion a tie.

Ornament #4

Step 1 Remove clasp of clear ball ornaments.

Step 2 After shaking can thoroughly, spray a small amount of 24KT Gold or Super Silver into the ornament.

Step 3 Rotate ball in your hands allowing paint to coat the interior of the ornament.

Step 4 Let set for a while then rotate ball again to disperse puddle of paint.

Step 5 Repeat as needed to allow paint to dry. If too much paint remains in the puddle, pour excess out onto paper towel.

Step 6 Replace clasp when ready.

Ornament #5

Step 1 Follow instructions on #3 but instead apply ColorTEX Flurry after painting cutouts white.

Step 2 While wet, sprinkle with opalescent glitter.
