On a Cloud Ripple
It’s fun to use four different colors of Baby Clouds for this softly shaded blanket, but you can crochet it in all one color if you prefer.

SIZE
Throw measures 33½-inches x 41½-inches including border.
Step: 2
GAUGE
8 dc = 4-inches in pattern. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

dc = double crochet

SPECIAL ABBREVIATION

COLOR SEQUENCE
1 row each of D, B, D, C, D, A; repeat throughout.

THROW
With D, ch 73, turn.
Step: 7
Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from hook, *3 dc, in next 3 ch work (dc3tog), 3 dc, (3 dc) in next ch; repeat from * across, ending with 2 dc in last ch. Turn.
Step: 8
Row 2: Join B. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in next dc, *3 dc, dc3tog, 3 dc, 3 dc in next dc; repeat from * across, ending with 2 dcs in turning ch. Turn.
Step: 9
Rows 3-28: Repeat Row 2, alternating colors as above. Fasten off at the end of Row 28. Weave in ends.
Step: 10
Border
Join B with sc in any st, ch 4, tr in same st, 2 tr in each st around, working 5 tr in each corner. Fasten off. Join A with sl st in any st, ch 1, sc evenly around. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Tips
Carry unused color yarns along the side edge, twisting working yarn around the others as you go.
