  • FA Metallic Paint:
  • Copper
  • Inca Gold
  • Sequin Black
  • Peridot
  • Antique Copper
  • One Stroke 1 ½” flat brush
  • One Stroke Value Pack Brushes
  • FolkArt Spray Satin Lacquer
  • Tin Bucket
  • White Cider Vinegar
  • Paper Towels
 

Project Instructions

Step: 1

Wipe tin bucket with paper towels saturated in vinegar. Wipe dry.


Step: 2

Paint entire bucket with Copper applying with vertical strokes on large flat brush. Let dry.


Step: 3

Double load ¾” flat brush with Inca Gold and Peridot. Paint apples on right and left sides of design.


Step: 4

Using “dirty” brush, load with Inca Gold and paint the pear shape. Shade with Copper and Antique Copper.


Step: 5

Using #12 flat brush, paint peach shape with Inca Gold. Overstroke with Copper while paint is wet to get a “peachy” color. With same brush, add a few strokes to bottom of apple on right to shade.


Step: 6

Double load #12 flat brush with Antique Copper and Peridot. Paint stems and leaves.


Step: 7

Using large Scruffy brush loaded with Sequin Black, carefully pounce texture beneath fruit.


Step: 8

Side load ¾” flat brush with Sequin Black and add shadows between fruit and under leaves.


Step: 9

Paint rim of tin bucket with thinned Sequin Black. Paint Inca Gold stripe under rim using #12 flat brush.


Step: 10

Note: To add durability to your finished project, spray with several light coats of Lacquer.


Tips

When finished, seal the bucket with FolkArt Spray Sealer.
