Patina Textured Pot
Adding a patina finish to this textured pot gives it a rich and beautifully aged appearance.

- Large Clay Pot
- Sophisticated Finishes:
Metallic Surfacer: Copper
Antiquing Solution: Patina Green - Texture Magic Dimensional Paint: White
- Texture Magic Tool Kit
- Stencil of choice
- Scissors
- Painters Tape
- Wilton® Squeeze Bottle (2)
- Plastic Gloves
- Foam Brushes
- Disposable Plate
- Paper Towels
- Mixed Fern/Grass Bushes, 2
- Ivy Bush
- Wire Cutters
- Floral Foam
- Craft Knife
- Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
Project Instructions
Step: 1
Read through all manufacturer’s instructions before starting project.
Step: 2
Cut desired design from stencil and tape onto pot.
Step: 3
Follow directions on Texture Magic and apply to stencil, pull off stencil leaving design. Set aside to dry thoroughly.
Step: 4
Paint entire pot with Copper Surfacer, let dry 24 hours.
Step: 5
Tape off design area so that tape will keep the antiquing from running onto pot area outside of design.
Step: 6
Paint Copper Surfacer onto design area and immediately pour on Antiquing Solution. Prop pot so that the antiquing will not run out of taped area onto pot. Let dry.
Step: 7
Remove tape and repeat for other designs on pot.
Step: 8
While pot is upside down on paper towels, paint rim of pot with Copper Surfacer and immediately pour Antiquing Solution on edge.
Step: 9
Tip: The antiquing time will very. If the desired effect is not achieved, paint over with Copper Surfacer and start again. Seal if desired. Let dry completely.
Step: 10
Cut floral foam to fit inside pot and glue in place. Cut apart greenery bushes and insert into floral foam as shown.
