  • Patons Classic Wool- Main Color (MC) Light Grey Marl: 1 Ball; Contrast A Aran:1 Ball; Contrast B Bright Red: 1 Ball
  • Double Pointed Knitting Needles- Set of Four Size 3.75 mm (U.S. 5) or Size Needed to Obtain Tension

Approx 7 ins [18 cm] high.

22 sts and 28 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

HEAD


Step: 6

**With A cast on 6 sts. Divide sts evenly among 3 needles. Join to work in rnds, placing marker on first st to indicate beg of rnd.

1st rnd: *Inc 1 st in next st. Rep from * around. 12 sts.


Step: 8

2nd and alt rnds: Knit.


Step: 9

3rd rnd: *K1. Inc 1 st in next st. Rep from * around. 18 sts.

5th rnd: *K2. Inc 1 st in next st. Rep from * around. 24 sts.**

Stuff muzzle lightly and sew to front of Monkey. Attach ears to either side of head. Stuff arms and attach to side of Monkey. With black yarn, embroider eyes and nostrils. Stitch arms together as shown in picture.

Tips

To make a smooth transition between colors while knitting in the round knit one round even in the new color, then, slip the first stitch of the old color onto the left-hand needle. Knit this stitch together with the first stitch of the new color and proceed as usual.
