- Patons® Pirouette™ (3.5 oz./100 ga.; 24 yds./22m) or Patons® Pirouette Shimmer (85 ga./3 oz.; 20 yds./18.2m) or Patons® Pirouette Sparkle (85 ga./3 oz.; 17 yds./15.5m) Yarn – Midnight Blue Shimmer (2 Balls)
- Crochet Hook, Sizes G/6 (4mm) Crochet Hook or Size Needed to Obtain Gauge
- Sewing Thread – Matching Color of Choice
- Sewing Needle
Note: Patons® Pirouette™ is a ribbon yarn, with large spaces across top edge and small spaces across bottom edge.
To join 2nd ball, work until approx 6 sps of first ball are left. Overlap first 6 sps of 2nd ball, matching sps and work through both thicknesses continuously.
1st row: Working across top edge of ribbon, insert hook from front to back into first 7 large sps. Insert hook from front to back into next large sp and draw through first 7 sps. 1 loop rem on hook. (Insert hook from front to back into next large sp and draw through loop on hook) 6 times. Turn work upside down.
2nd row: Insert hook from front to back into small sp of bottom of ribbon. Insert hook into next large sp of top of ribbon and draw through small sp and loop on hook – sl st made. *Miss next 2 small sps. Insert hook into next small sp. Insert hook into next large sp and draw through small sp and loop on hook. Rep from * to end of row. (Note: use your own judgment for end of row.) Rep last row 4 times more. Secure last loop with sewing thread.
