Project Instructions

Chain Pattern 1

Start with 21"/2 yd. (2.5cm) of thread, single thickness with no knot.

Pick up one 8mm crystal and six 3mm pearls. Go back through the crystal and the pearls from the tail end. Go back through the crystal one more time.

Leave approximately half the thread as your tail. This will be used later.

Chain Pattern 2

Pick up six 3mm pearls and go back through the crystal on the opposite side from where the thread exited.

Go through all the pearls to pull them in closer to the crystal.

Chain Pattern 3

The working thread should be coming out of one 3mm pearl. Pick up five size 15 beads, skip over the next 3mm pearl and go through the next one.

Chain Pattern 4

Repeat Chain Pattern 3 five more times. There should be six points around the pearls.

After you make the sixth point, go through the first three size 15 beads of the first point you created. This lines the thread up for the next step.

Chain Pattern 5

Pick up twelve size 15 beads, one 4mm pearl and twelve size 15 beads.

Go back through the size 15 bead at the point that the thread originally exited from on the opposite side. Also go back through the first twelve size 15 beads and the 4mm pearl.

Chain Pattern 6

Pick up two 4mm pearls and go back through the pearl the thread originally exited from on the opposite side.

Chain Pattern 7

Go through the next 4mm pearl. Pick up nine size 15 beads and go back through the pearl on the opposite side from where the thread originally exited.

Chain Pattern 8

Go through the next 4mm pearl and repeat Chain Pattern 7.

Chain Pattern 9

Weave the working thread so it is coming out of the seventh size 15 bead of the last nine beads that were added around the 4mm pearl.

Pick up seven size 15 beads and go back through the size 15 bead the thread originally exited from on the opposite side. Go through the first four size 15 beads that were just added. This makes a small circle.

Pick up seven size 15 beads and repeat this step.

Chain Pattern 10

Put the needle on the long tail thread that was left in Chain Pattern 1.

Weave the thread so it comes out of the third bead of the point of size 15 beads opposite the beadwork just created.

Chain Pattern 11

Repeat Chain Patterns 5–9; however, instead of creating two small circles as in Chain Pattern 9, you will create five small circles at the end of the beadwork.

Repeat Chain Patterns 1–11 to make a second piece of beadwork that matches the first piece. Two pieces are needed for the bracelet.

Assembly 1

Align the two pieces of beadwork to match the photo.

Weave one of the threads to the middle bead of the second point of size 15 beads of the bottom piece of beadwork. Go through the middle bead of the point of the other top piece of beadwork.

Go back through the middle point bead the thread originally exited from on the opposite side. Reinforce.

Assembly 2

Put the needle on a thread at the end of the beadwork. It should be coming out of the fourth bead of the last circle working toward the inside of the bracelet.

Pick up one 3mm pearl and go through the fourth bead of the last circle of the other piece of beadwork.

Pick up two size 15 beads, one 3mm pearl and two size 15 beads. Go back through the size 15 bead the thread originally exited from on the opposite side, weaving the thread through the beads to come out of the second 3mm pearl.

Assembly 3

Pick up seven size 15 beads, one 3mm pearl and seven size 15 beads. Go back through the 3mm pearl the thread originally exited from on the opposite side and also go through the first seven size 15 beads and the 3mm pearl that was added. This creates a circle.

Repeat this step until you have the desired number of circles at the end. The number you need is based on how long you want your bracelet to be.

Assembly 4

For the clasp bead, the working thread should be coming out of the end 3mm pearl. Pick up four size 15 beads, one 4mm pearl and three size 15 beads. Skip the last three size 15 beads and go back down the pearl and the next size 15 bead.

Pick up three more size 15 beads and go back through the 3mm pearl the thread originally exited on the opposite side. Reinforce.

Assembly 5

Repeat Assembly 2–3 at the other end of the bracelet. The number of circles you create on this end should match the number of circles for Assembly 4. Make a loop of size 15 beads that fits comfortably but snugly around the clasp bead. Reinforce.

Tie off any remaining threads.
