Roll out ½ package of the Wasabi clay on the #1 setting of the Sculpey® Clay Conditioning Machine. Set aside.
Set the text onto your alphabet stamper. When the flat edge of the stamper is facing you, roll the letters so that the word reads from RIGHT to LEFT. (NOTE: you can offset every other letter to be slightly higher to create a more “funky” look!).
Apply the Pearl Ex powder to each letter with the rubber chisel. I wipe the chisel across the powder clinging to the lid of jar so I don't get too much. Blow gently on the stamper to remove any excess powder.
Gently press the stamper into the clay and remove it.
Use the craft knife to trim the clay, making sure that the clay piece is long enough to cover the barrette.
Use the medium ball tool to texture the clay around your letters.
Trim the tabs on the back of the brads with the wire clippers, leaving only a very short portion to press into the clay.
Glue the brads into place on the clay. Add some crystals if you wish!
Position the clay onto the barrette and bake on the barrette following the clay package directions.
Once the clay has baked and cooled, pop it off the barrette and glue it back into place.
