Project Instructions

Cut two 8" pieces of 20 ga. round wire.

Cut a 6" piece of 20 ga. square wire.

Cut a 12" piece of 26 ga. wire.

Tape three wires together, keeping 20 ga. square in center. Keep flat (wires side by side).

About ¼" from end, make 90° bend in 26 ga. wire.

Find center of square 20 ga. wire and place the 26 ga. wire hook at that location.

Wrap the 26 ga. wire around the bundle six times. Each wrap should be tight and touching.

Approximately 1" from the center wrap, repeat previous step. Do this on either side. You should have three wraps.

Remove tape from square bundle of wire.

Begin to shape the wire around the Pink Turquoise stone.

Where ends meet at top, bend upward 90°.

Make a hook on end of 24 ga. wire.

Hold wires together, where the 90° bends meet, and place the hook around the wire bundle, staying close to the top of Pink Turquoise.

Make four tight wraps with the 26 ga. to hold the wires together. DO NOT TRIM EXCESS 26 ga. wire.

Split four wires that are bent upward, two to each side, leaving two Square wires standing straight up in the center.

Wrap two center wires around baler. This is the start of your bale. Use chain nose pliers and make slight bend on ends of bale wires.

Wrap 26 ga. wire around the bale and over the slight bends to secure in place. This is the back of your pendant.

Turn design face down so the bale ends are closest to you. Use Beadalon® chain nose pliers and begin to gently pull wires (between bindings) toward the center, forming a cage. Repeat at all four positions.

Turn design over so front is on top.

Pop Pink Turquoise bead into the design.

Use chain nose pliers and repeat step before last. Pull one wire at a time.

Slide one lentil onto the center left wire (at top of pendant).

Use round nose pliers to make small loop on bottom.

Use chain nose pliers to roll loop upward and make a swirl design.

Repeat with remaining three wires

Turn design over so front is facing down. Dab small amount of glue on ends of lentils to keep them from turning. Let dry.
