Project Instructions

Cut three 6" squares, three 4½" squares, two 4" square and one 2" square from scrapbook papers.

Cut two 2½" diameter circles from scrapbook papers.

Mark pinwheel cuts on squares by folding and creasing squares at diagonal corners, then cut half-way down to center at each crease.

Glue dowel to center back of each pinwheel.

Glue any desired additional contrast papers to inside and outside of pinwheel before folding over points.

Bend alternating points to center without creasing, to form a smooth curve, and glue each securely.

Embellish as desired using rhinestone strips, flowers and ribbons as shown.

Glue remaining dowels to back of dotted butterflies, then when dry, glue a contrasting butterfly on the other side.

Add rhinestones to wing tips inside embossed circles.

Paint Styrofoam® Ball with brown acrylic paint and let dry.

When dry, glue painted Styrofoam® ball into terra cotta pot.

Tie a decorative ribbon bow around the upper edge of the pot and glue into place at the knot.

Arrange pinwheels and butterflies into a random group of various heights, by inserting dowel into the Styrofoam® ball. Add a small bead of glue to the dowel ends to secure.

Cover Styrofoam® ball with as many remaining daisy flowers, as desired.

Add larger clear rhinestones to daisy centers.

You can also create a back to school theme using thumb tacks to attach pinwheels to the erasers.
