Project Instructions

Pink Flower Pot

Wipe terra cotta pot with a moistened paper towel to remove dirt or dust.

Squeeze puddle of Parisian Pink and Licorice onto paper plate.

Basecoat body of flower pot Parisian Pink and paint rim Licorice using foam brush; allow to dry. If needed, apply a second coat.

Lay a sheet of tracing paper over flower and leaf patterns, (same patterns as used with Gallery Glass designs on egg). Trace pattern lines.

Tape pattern onto Parisian Pink flower pot; insert transfer paper between pot and traced pattern. Retrace pattern lines to transfer design. Continue transferring pattern randomly around body of flower pot.

Add to palette a small puddle of Yellow Light, Pure Orange, Lipstick Red, and Fresh Foliage.

Load #10 Flat brush with color of choice and paint flowers opaque Yellow Light, Pure Orange and Lipstick Red. Allow to dry.

Using same brush, paint leaves Fresh Foliage.

Thin Licorice with water to an ink-like consistency.

Load #1 Liner with thinned Licorice; outline each painted flower and leaf.

Load handle end of #10 Flat with Licorice by dipping into puddle of paint. Paint small polka dots in the center of each flower. Allow to dry.

Using same brush, load handle end with Parisian Pink. Paint polka dots randomly around rim of pot.

Load #10 Flat with Matte FolkArt® Artists’ Varnish; brush varnish on rim of terra cotta pot to seal painted area.

Using same brush, paint Hologram FolkArt® Extreme Glitter™ over body of pot. Allow to dry.

Cut large floral foam ball in ½. Paint with Fresh Foliage and allow to dry. Push into top of clay pot and poke hole in top of floral foam to create hole for dowel rod.

Extra Large Pink Nesting Plastic Egg

Place flower pattern under leading blank and create 13 flowers with Liquid Leading. Create approximately 21 – 22 leaf shapes. Allow to dry at least 8 hours.

When dry, comb in Window Color as shown. Let dry, then place randomly on large pink egg.

Break egg in ½ turning the bottom portion upside down. Use hot stencil cutter to make hole in bottom of egg to fit ¼” dowel rod. Put eggs back together.

Paint dowel rod with Fresh Foliage and allow to dry. Push through bottom of egg and use enough dowel so that it reaches the top. Push bottom of dowel into hole created in Styrofoam already inserted in Clay Pot.

Cut leaves from Glitter Green Fun foam and attach to Dowel Rod with glue to finish.
