Material List
- Decorative Paper of choice (we used polka dot)
- Poster Board
- Pencil
- Terrifically Tacky Tape
- Twinkle Type Chipboard
- Pink Boa
- Star Garland
- Rhinestone Gems
- Glue Gun & Glue Sticks (adult use only)
- Scissors
Project Instructions
Step: 1
Trace hat pattern onto decorative paper and poster board, cut out.
Step: 2
Secure decorative paper to poster board form with tacky tape.
Step: 3
Fold pattern to form hat shape and secure with tacky tape and glue.
Step: 4
Cut a 1-inch wide strip of decorative paper. Fold paper like an accordion. Connect ends to form “flower”, secure with glue.
Step: 5
Glue flower to center of hat.
Step: 6
Glue chipboard to flower.
Step: 7
Cut and secure boa to hat as shown with tacky tape and glue.
Step: 8
Wrap star garland around hat and secure with glue.
Step: 9
Glue rhinestones to hat as shown.
Tips
Use photo as a guide and follow manufacturer’s instructions for all products used.
For extra strength, double stick tape poster board to back of hat pattern - this makes the hats more durable.
