Gauge
14 sts and 14 rows = 4" in patt with MC and CC1. Be sure to check your gauge! 

Stitch Pattern
Row 1 (RS): Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across; turn. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first st, * dc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * across; turn. Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st across, changing to MC in last st; turn. Rows 4-9: Rep Rows 2 and 3, changing to CC1 in last st of Row 9.

Rep Rows 2-9 for patt. 

Note
To change colors in sc: insert hook in next st and draw up a loop, drop working color and pick up new color, pull new color through 2 loops on hook. 

Instructions
Back: With CC1, ch 42 (44, 48, 52). Row 1 (RS): Work Row 1 of stitch patt – 41 (43, 47, 51) sc.

Rows 2-37 (2-43, 2-47, 2-51): Work in stitch patt. Left Shoulder—Row 38 (44, 48, 52): Work in patt across first 16 (17, 17, 19) sts; turn, leaving rem sts unworked. Row 39 (45, 49, 53): Ch 1, sc in each st across; fasten off. Right Shoulder—Row 38 (44, 48, 52): With WS facing, sk center 9 (9, 13, 13) sts for back neck, join yarn in next st, ch 1, sc in same st, work in patt across; turn – 16 (17, 17, 19) sts. Row 39 (45, 49, 53): Ch 1, sc in each st across; fasten off. 

Right Front: With CC1, ch 22 (24, 26, 28). Row 1 (RS): Work Row 1 of stitch patt – 21 (23, 25, 27) sc. Rows 2-27 (2-33, 2-37, 2-41): Work in stitch patt. Neck and Shoulder—Row 28 (34, 38, 42): Work in patt across first 16 (17, 17, 19) sts; turn, leaving rem sts unworked. Rows 29-37 (35-43, 39-49, 43-53): Work in patt; fasten off at end of last row. Right Buttonhole Band—Row 1: With RS facing and CC1, join yarn at bottom edge, ch 1, sc in same st, sc evenly along front edge to neck; turn. Place markers for 4 (5, 5, 6) buttonholes evenly along band. Row 2: Ch 1, * sc to marker, ch 2, sk 2 sts; rep from * 3 (4, 4, 5) more times, sc in each st to end; turn. Row 3: Ch 1, sc across, working 2 sc in each ch-2 sp; fasten off. 

Left Front—Rows 1-27 (1-33, 1-37, 1-41): Work same as Right Front; fasten off. Neck and Shoulder—Row 28 (34, 38, 42): With WS facing, sk first 5 (6, 8, 8) sts, join yarn in next st, ch 1, sc in same st, work in patt across; turn – 16 (17, 17, 19) sts. Rows 29-37 (35-43, 39-49, 43-53): Work in patt; fasten off at end of last row. Left Button Band—Row 1: With RS facing and CC1, join yarn at neck, ch 1, sc in same st, sc evenly across front edge to bottom; turn. Rows 2 and 3: Ch 1, sc across; fasten off at end of last row. 

Sleeve (Make 2): Beg at cuff with MC, ch 6. Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across; turn – 5 sc. Rows 2-20 (2-22, 2-22, 2-24): Ch 1, scbl in each st across; turn; fasten off. Arm—Row 1: With RS facing, join CC1 in right corner of ribbing, ch 1, sc in same st, work 20 (22, 22, 24) sc across long edge of ribbing; turn – 21 (23, 23, 25) sc. Row 2: Work Row 2 of Stitch Patt. Row 3: Ch 1, sc across; turn. Row 4: Rep Row 2. Row 5: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across, 2 sc in last st; turn – 23 (25, 25, 27) sts. Row 6: Rep Row 2. Row 7: Ch 1, sc across, changing to MC in last st; turn. Rows 8-9: Rep Rows 4-5, changing to CC1 in last st of Row 9. Rows 10-29 (10-29, 10-33, 10-33): Rep Rows 2-9 – 35 (37, 39, 41) sts. Row 30-31 (30-35, 34-39, 34-41): Continue in patt as set without increases; fasten off at end of last row.        

Finishing
Sew shoulder seams; sew sleeves to sweater; sew side and sleeve seams. Collar—Row 1: With RS facing and CC1, join yarn in right side neck corner, ch 1, sc in same st, work sc 39 (41, 49, 53) evenly around neck edge; fasten off. Row 2: Make Petals: With RS facing and CC1, sk first 3 sts from Row 1, join yarn in next st, * ch 10, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in each of next 2 ch, dc in each rem ch, sk 2 sts from Row 1, scfl in next st; rep from * across to last 3 sts; fasten off. Row 3: With WS facing and CC2, sc across; fasten off.

Bottom Edging—Row 1: With RS facing and CC1, join yarn at left front corner, ch 1, sc in same st, sc evenly across bottom edge; turn. Rep Rows 2 and 3 of collar.

Trim: With CC2, cut pom poms, leaving the cord on either end, and securely tie one pom pom to the point of each petal on collar and bottom edging, alternating colors. Trim cord. Sew on buttons. Weave in ends.
