Material List
- Canvas, 12-inch x 12-inch
- Patterned Cardstock
- Liquitex® Gel Medium
- Acrylic Paint, color to coordinate
- Assorted Embellishments of choice
- Assorted Letters (magazine clippings, chipboard,etc.)
- Spray Bottle of Water
- Paintbrush
- Paper Towels
- Paper Plate
- Scissors
- Ornate Frame
- Masking Tape
Project Instructions
Paint canvas desired color including sides and back edge. Let dry.
Tear image from paper as desired. Note the way you tear the paper, it will appear with white edge or without. Practice on a piece of paper first before tearing your paper.
Spray back of paper with water, wipe off excess water.
Coat back of paper with gel medium and apply to canvas. Smooth out any wrinkles.
Let dry and apply second coat to entire surface of canvas.
Apply letters of saying in the same manner. Let dry thoroughly.
Add embellishments as desired to your canvas.
Insert canvas into back of frame - it should fit tightly. Use masking tape to secure.
