Project Instructions
Find a large leaf in nature and press it between pages of a heavy book. Line both sides with wax paper. Keep in a book for a week to dry.
Take out dried leaf and lay on a piece of palette paper. Begin to brush on Martha Stewart Crafts™ Liquid Gilding. Brush from leaf veins outward.
Carefully make prints with the leaf on the black canvas. Apply more gold gilding as needed. Let leaf dry.
Attach leaf to canvas with Liquitex® gel medium. Cover the top of the leaf with a thin layer. Let completely dry.
Dry brush Martha Stewart Crafts™ acrylic Geranium and Pollen paint to the top of the leaf. Let dry.
Brush on metal leaf adhesive to the veins of the leaf. Let dry according to directions.
Press on copper leaf over the metal leaf adhesive. Brush off remaining gold leaf.
Once completely dry, paint on a thin layer of gel medium.
Frame canvas.
