Material List

  • Tulip® All-in-1 Screen Printing System
  • Tulip® Soft® Fabric Paint – Crimson Red Matte, Holiday Green Matte and Ebony Matte
  • Tulip® Fabric Spray Paint – Neon Green
  • Aleene’s® Repositionable Tacky Spray™
  • T-Shirt, Cotton – Yellow
  • Freezer Paper
  • Iron
  • Painter’s Tape
  • Foil (or Foam Plate) Palette
  • Old Toothbrush
 

Project Instructions

Download desired poppy graphic from computer, print out and create your screen, following package instructions from Tulip® ScreenIt™ All-in-1 Screen Printing System. Set aside screen.

Iron freezer paper to inside front of T-shirt.

Spray front of shirt randomly with Neon Green fabric spray paint. Let dry.

Remove freezer paper from inside T-shirt.

Position shirt on ScreenIt™ base following package instructions.

Spray shirt lightly with Repositionable Tacky Spray™ and position poppy screen at top of shirt. Place a piece of painter’s tape down stem and a small piece over the center of flower.

Squeeze Crimson Red a little above the top of stencil. Use squeegee to pull paint down over screen, making sure all open areas of flower are covered. Wipe down squeegee completely.

Remove tape from stem and carefully use squeegee to apply Holiday Green to stem. Wipe down squeegee completely.

Remove tape from center and carefully use squeegee to apply Ebony to center of flower.

Let dry and carefully remove screen.

Squeeze some Ebony paint on palette. Dilute with water. Dip old paintbrush into diluted paint and use fingers to flick back bristles over areas of background. Let dry.
