Project Instructions

Step: 1

Cut the silver cardstock down to a 7 1/2" x 5 3/4" rectangle.

Step: 2

At the top left-hand corner, cut out a 4" x 1/2" section as shown in photo. At the top right-hand corner, cut out a 1/2" x 1/2" section.

Step: 3

Cut a 2 5/8' x 7 1/2" rectangle from the white cardstock. Measure and mark the paper 3/8" up from bottom right corner. Place a straight edge from the left top corner down to the mark. Cut along the straight edge with a craft knife. Stencil with the black and white checkerboard pattern using Licorice. Glue to the bottom of card with glue stick.

Step: 4

Cut a strip 8" x 3/8" from silver cardstock. Using the craft knife, punch holes starting for the center and continue on both sides leaving an inch in between each hole. Add silver brad through holes and attach to the top of the checkerboard sections of the card with Pop Dots making sure the center brad is in the center. Trim the excess on both sides.

Step: 5

Stencil the large dashed line at the top of card using Licorice.

Step: 6

Cut a 2 1/4" x 1 1/4" rectangle from the silver cardstock. Make holes in the sides using the craft knife and insert brads in the holes. Using a black extra fine marker, write “Race To My Party." Outline with the marker.

Step: 7

Cut a 2 3/4" x 1 1/2" rectangle for black cardstock. Use Pop Dots to attach to top of card. Place the silver rectangle with the brads on top of the black rectangle using Pop Dots to hold in place.

Step: 8

On white cardstock, stencil the racecar in Christmas Red and Licorice. Add an extra black line at the bottom of car by taping off 1/8" using masking tape.

Step: 9

Cut out car using a craft knife. Leave a small border around car. Outline the car with extra fine marker. Add lines to the bottom and the top of "#1" to complete the number. Glue to card with glue stick.

Step: 10

Punch out two 1" circles from the black cardstock. Make a small hole in the center of each circle using the craft knife and insert silver brads in the holes. Add black circle to wheels, using pop dots to hold in place.

Step: 11

Outline the outer edge of card, below and in between the dashed line using a permanent marker.

Step: 12

Use the permanent marker to put all the party information on the back of the card.
