- Duff Primary Color Gel Set
- White Buttercream Frosting
- Diet Lemon-Lime Soda (2 cans)
- Round Cake Pan (2)
Project InstructionsPut two White Duff Cake Mixes into a bowl and add two 12-oz. cans of diet lemon-lime soda and mix. The batter will make two tall 8” or 9” cakes.
Divide equal amounts of cake batter into 6 bowls. Add small amounts of Duff Primary Gel Colors.
Spoon ½ of each of the colored batters into the middle of the pan in neat globs. The batter will spread out to the edges of the pan as you add more batter. After all six colors have been put into one cake pan, start the same process in the second cake pan, but in reverse color order. Try not to stir or mix the colors. This will create a “muddy” appearance. Let the colors spread naturally.
Follow the baking directions on the cake mix box.
Once the cakes are completely cool, spread a thin layer of Duff White Buttercream Frosting between the layers. Continue to frost the entire outside of the cake.
