Really Easy Wristers (Knit)

If you can do a gauge swatch, you can make these wristers! You just knit a square piece with a bit of ribbing then sew up the side leaving a hole for your thumb. Voila!

Material List

  • RED HEART® Soft Yarn – Light Grey Heather (1 Ball)
  • Knitting Needles, 5mm [US 8]
  • Yarn Needle
 

Project Instructions

Make 2

Leaving a 20" beginning tail for sewing seam, cast on 31 sts.

Lower Ribbing

Row 1 (Right Side): P1, *k1, p1; repeat from * to end of row.

Row 2: K1, *p1, k1; repeat from * to end of row.

Row 3: Repeat Row 1.

Body

Work in St st (knit on Right Side, purl on Wrong Side) until piece measure 7 1/2" from beginning.

Bind off loosely. Cut yarn, leaving a 10" tail for sewing seam.

 

FINISHING

With beginning tail, sew side edges together for 3", beginning at lower edge. With ending tail, sew side edges together for 2", beginning at top edge. Leave 2" between the two seams open for thumb. Weave in ends. Repeat for second wrist warmer.

Note: Top edge will roll to outside.

St st = Stockinette stitch

* = repeat whatever follows the * as indicated.

Red Heart "Soft" is available in so many colors, you can make wristers to match all your cool weather outfits! Each wrist warmer measures 7" long x 7" circumference GAUGE: 18 sts = 4" in St st. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.
