Project Instructions

Print and cut out the DCWV® Tree Ornament pattern (download below). Note: Be sure to punch out the holes when doing this.

Choose two different prints for your trees. Trace the large and the small piece on the back of the first and the medium on the back of the second. Cut out.

Cut a 20" piece of the 1/8" ribbon and fold it in half. Beginning at the loop in the ribbon, tie both pieces together in a knot 1½" down from the top. Tie another knot 1½" down from the first, and another 1½" down from that. Take your largest piece of paper and wrap it like an upside down ice cream cone around the ribbon, securing it tightly just above the last knot you tied. Adhere the end to the main section of the cone to keep it in place. Repeat with the medium section of paper around the middle knot, and the smallest section of paper around the last knot.

Use your paper piercer to make holes in the points of each cone (see image as a reference) for your jingle bells. One by one, insert your jingle bells onto jump rings and secure them in the holes you just made, closing the jump rings as you finish. Finish off the cone by tying a piece of sparkly green ribbon just underneath the largest cone to hang with the remaining satin ribbon.
