Project Instructions

Cut a 17"x10" rectangle from the t-shirt to create clutch.

Cut a rectangle from the matching felt 8½"x7" for the lining.

Lay the 17"x10" rectangle flat. Fold each long side in about ½". An iron can be used to help hold in place. Next, fold up 4½" up from the bottom, then fold both layers up again. This will form the pouch portion of the clutch. The remaining t-shirt fabric will be the flap.

Stitch the pouch portion of the clutch using black floss using a blanket stitch. If desired, you can also stitch on a sewing machine. Once the pouch is stitched up, lay the felt onto the inside of the flap and tuck the rest into the pouch. Fold the t-shirt over on the top of the flap to create a finished edge. Using a blanket stitch, stitch the felt onto the flap. The portion of the felt that is tucked in does not need to be stitched.

Cut pieces of felt to fit through the Sizzix®. Die cut several groups of the flowers from each color.

Cut tulle to fit through the Sizzix® and repeat.

Layer the flowers and tulle so that you have a nice, full flower. Add button and stitch together. Stitch or glue the flower onto the clutch as shown in photo.

You can add a snap or Velcro® if desired to keep clutch closed.
