Scarf measures 6” wide x 60” long
13 sts = 4”; 8 rows = 4”. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge given.
Row 1 (right side) Dc in 4th and 5th ch from hook,*ch 5, skip 5 chs, dc in next 3 chs; Repeat from * across, turn– 24 ch-5 spaces.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), dc in next 2 dc, *ch 2, sc in 3rd ch of next ch-5 space, ch 2, dc in next 3 dc; repeat from * across, turn – 48 ch-2 spaces.
Row 3: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, *ch 2, sc in next sc, ch 2, dc in next 3 dc; repeat from * across, turn.
Row 4: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, *ch 5, skip next 2 ch-2 spaces, dc in next 3 dc; repeat from * across, turn – 24 ch-5 spaces.
Rows 5-10: Repeat rows 2-4 twice.
Do not fasten off.
Edging: Ch 1, working across top edge of scarf, *sc in each st and ch across, work 3 sc in corner, sc evenly down side edge of scarf, 3 sc in corner; repeat from * around; join with slip st in first sc.
