Project Instructions

Step 1 Cut four 10" pieces of 22 ga. wire.

Step 2 Cut one 12" piece of 26 ga. wire.

Step 3 Cut one 8" piece of 20 ga. wire.

Step 4 Lay wires out in this order: two 22 ga. wire, one 20 ga. wire and two 22 ga. wire.

Step 5 Tape wires together, keeping them flat and in same order.

Step 6 Use chain nose pliers to make a small hook on bottom of 26 ga. wire (about ¼" from end).

Step 7 Find center of wire bundle and place 26 ga. hook at that location.

Step 8 Begin to wrap the 26 ga. wire around the bundle, ten times. Be careful not to change the position of the wires in the bundle. Wraps should be taut and touching.

Step 9 Use chain nose pliers to tamp down binding wraps and trim excess wire.

Step 10 About 1" from the center, repeat Steps 8 and 9, but wrap only six times. NOTE: wire cuts (ends) should be on same side with each binding.

Step 11 Repeat with other side. You should now have three bindings. Remove tape.

Step 12 Form the wire around the Amber bead.

Step 13 Where wires meet at the top, bend upward. Make another hook on your 26 ga. wire.

Step 14 Pull wires (at top of pendant) together and wrap with 26 ga. wire. Start closest to the pendant and work away from pendant. Make four wraps. Trim excess 26 ga. wire. Keeping wires on correct sides, separate, keeping the 20 ga. wires straight up.

Step 15 Gently pull one of the 22 ga. wires toward center (between wraps). Repeat with second 22 ga. wire.

Step 16 Repeat all four positions between binding, pop in square bead. And repeat Steps 8-9 on opposite of pendant. Pull one of the remaining 20 ga. wires forward.

Step 17 Thread one oval Jasper bead onto the other 20 ga. wire. Make sure it is positioned upward and straight.

Step 18 Use similar side of baler and form a bale at top by wrapping the 20 ga. wire around it. Trim end of 20 ga. wire so it is even with the top of your design.

Step 19 Use your round nose pliers and make a slight bend on end.

Step 20 Using remaining 26 ga. binding wire, wrap around bale six times to secure.

Step 21 You should now have a wrapped square bead; with an oval bead on top; a finished bale; one 20 ga. wire in center and four 22 ga. wires on each side of the bale. Using your hand, work the wire so four of the wires are lying flat like a ribbon. Starting with the right side, bring the 'ribbon' across the front of and behind the bale, finishing in the front. Trim all ends so they are the same length.

Step 22 Using round nose pliers, simultaneously wrap ends around the ribbon to secure.

Step 23 Repeat Steps 19-22 on opposite side.

Step 24 Wrap remaining 20 ga. wire around the bottom of the oval jasper, finishing in the front. Using round nose pliers, make small loop on end. Using chain nose pliers swirl wire. It should sit at the base of the oval Jasper bead.
