Project Instructions

Paint the insides of the handle area and the top edges of the tray with ivory craft paint. Set aside to dry.

Once the paint is dry, cut out pieces to cover all sides of the tray except the bottom. Adhere these pieces in place.

Embellish the tray by adding scalloped pieces and cut-out shapes from the different prints.

Tie a piece of the green ribbon and a strip of burlap onto one handle.

Flower Bouquet

Punch a 3½" circle from one of your gingham prints and adhere a 3" moss circle to the middle. Take a 10"x10" section of chicken wire and set this in the middle. Using your wire cutters, form this into a vase-shaped piece, trimming off any excess wire and wrapping loose ends into existing sections of the main piece. When finished shaping, wrap a section of gingham ribbon around the middle, finishing with a bow.

Punch out circles in the following sets: three 3", two 2", two 1¼", two 1", and one ½". Using the image as a reference, make snips into the edges of the largest circles to give them a flower-like look, rounding off each section or leaving them as-is. Finish these off by curling them back with the edge of the pencil. Use the rickrack scissors to trim around the edges of the next set of circles, and leave the final ones as-is. Arrange them as desired into three different sets of flowers and use adhesive foam squares between layers to adhere them together.

Prepare dowel rods in your desired lengths. Roll them in your ink pad to give them a distressed look. Adhere one flower to each dowel rod for a total of three flowers.

Arrange flowers in chicken wire vase and enjoy!

Gift Box

Cover the top and bottom of the box in your desired print.

Insert gift in the box and close.

Create band to go around the middle of the box with a coordinating print. Adhere the ends together and slide into place.

Wrap a piece of twine around the middle of the band twice, finishing it with a bow on the top.

•Use scratch paper to create templates for the different areas of the tray.

•Instead of using circles to create flowers, create actual flower shapes with your personal die cut machine.
