Referring to photo for reference, round corners on white foam sheets. Cut a notch in about one third of the way down on two sides to create the look of bread.
Lay two pieces of brown foam lengthwise on work surface. Place bread’ in center of brown. Trace with pencil slightly larger than bread. Remove bread. Following instructions on Fun Craft Glue, apply a bead of glue around edge of bread and inside pencil line on brown. Let glue dry. Press together to secure.
Trim around bread leaving a 1¼ - inch border of crust using scissors. Let dry.
Cut light green sheet in half lengthwise. Cut one long edge of each piece in a wavy pattern.
Trace an 8-inch\” circle on red. Cut out and cut in half.
Trace two 4-inch circles on sparkle green. Cut out and cut in half.
Trace oval shape on sparkle green. Cut out.
Cut a smaller oval of red.
Cut a ½ x 4-inch piece of brown foam, tapering one end to a point.
Start flow of Tulip paint on a paper towel using even pressure on bottle for a smooth line. Detail lettuce, outline of olive and pickles with Green, Tomatoes and pimento with True Red. Let dry.
Position pieces in place under sides of bread. Apply glue to edges of pieces. Let dry, then press. Glue olive and toothpick to front.
Squeeze a thick wavy line of Golden Yellow over all pieces. Let dry.
Cut four 16 x 1½-inch strips of red foam. Pin straps to bread at shoulders and sides, try on costume and adjust as needed. Remove costume and pins. Add glue to shoulder of bread, ends of straps and on backside of lettuce. When dry press, together to secure.
Cut a 10 x 4-inch piece of blue foam. Cut ¼-inch wide snips lengthwise along foam. Glue unsnipped edge of foam. Let dry.
Cut a ½ x 10-inch piece of brown foam, tapering one end to a point. Apply glue to top 4-inches of toothpick. Press strip on top of toothpick and start wrapping around, pressing to secure. Add a small piece of tape at base if needed until set. Carefully snip two small slits in visor. Insert toothpick through slit, adjust and trim as needed. Apply a drop of glue to back of toothpick fringe. Let dry. Press to secure in place.
