Project Instructions
Violet Cupcake with Orange-Eyed Spider:
Bake and cool cupcakes according to recipe.
Prepare buttercream icing according to recipe; tint portions violet, black, and orange.
Ice cupcake smooth with spatula and violet icing.
Use tip 18 and black icing to pipe bug’s body with pull-out stars.
Use tip 13 and black icing to pipe bug’s head with pull-out stars.
Use tip 13 and black icing to pipe shell legs.
Use tip 2 and orange icing to pipe eyes.
*Combine Violet and Rose for Violet shown.
Violet Cupcake with Green-Headed Spider:
Bake and cool cupcakes according to recipe.
Prepare buttercream icing according to recipe; tint portions violet, black, green and orange.
Ice cupcake smooth with spatula and violet icing.
Use tip 12 and black icing to pipe bug’s body; smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch.
Use tip 5 and green icing to pipe bug’s head; smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch.
Use tip 13 and black icing to pipe shell legs.
Use tip 2 and orange icing to pipe eyes.
*Combine Leaf Green and Lemon Yellow for green shown.
