Project Instructions

  1. Divide a piece of white construction paper into four squares by folding it twice. Glue strips of black paper over the folds to make it look like a window pane.
  2. Cut four identical tree trunks from the brown paper. Glue on tree trunks in the middle of each window pane.
  3. Leave the 1st tree bare for winter. Glue crumpled pieces of green and pink tissue paper to the 2nd tree for spring. Glue crumpled green tissue paper and red beads to the 3rd tree for summer. Glue crumpled green, yellow, orange and red tissue paper to the 4th tree for fall.

Tips

These pictures could be glued into a book and the student could write about what happens to an apple tree during each of the seasons. You could also try reading a book about apple trees.
