Step 1 Turn stretched canvas over, add adhesive to the back and glue your choice of scrapbook paper to line the back of the canvas. You can also utilize other flat elements like magnet sheets, burlap, cork or fabric.
Step 2 Cut strips of burlap big enough to cover approximately 1/3 of the bottom of the stretched canvas.
Step 3 Using a low heat glue gun, glue the burlap to the front and side edges, and finish it up by gluing the back. To give the front a nice finished look, bend over the top edge as to create a lip.
Step 4 Embellish each pocket using a glue gun with crystals, jewelry pieces, trim, ribbon, and decorative metal trinkets.
Step 5 Using long strips of burlap, create long loops that will hang on the rod. Attach the burlap loops to the back of the canvas (centered) using a fair amount of hot glue. (Arrange on the floor the way you would like to group the canvases -- this will help you determine the lengths of your loops.)
Step 6 Measure and mark on the wall (with a pencil) the drilling points where the decorative hooks will be attached. Drill and carefully attach the decorative hooks to the wall using the appropriate wall anchors and hardware.
Step 7 Thread the burlap loops already attached to the canvases through the rod, and hang the rod on the hooks. Move the canvases to the desired areas.
Step 8 You can decorate the edges of the canvases with all kinds of elements, such as stamps, painted on stencil, stickers, etc!
