Project Instructions

Step 1 Use round-nose pliers to make a loop on one end of the memory wire.

Step 2 String 50 beads onto the wire and make a loop at the end. (There should be at least 2" of exposed memory wire between the last bead and the last loop.)

Step 3 Place the center of the hemp cord at the base of the memory wire loop and tie a square knot.

Step 4 Bring the cords around the first bead and tie another square knot around the memory wire.

Step 5 Continue tying a single knot between the beads until you reach the end of the bracelet.

Step 6 Tie the last square knot at the base of the memory wire loop.

Step 7 Add a drop of glue to the knot, let it dry, and cut off any extra cord.

Step 8 Cut a 1½" length of hematite wire and make a basic loop on one end to attach it to the loop at the end of the bracelet.

Step 9 Pass the wire through a bead and make a basic loop.

Step 10 Connect a hematite cone to the end of the bead link.

Step 11 Tying a square knot around memory wire:
a. Bring the right cord over the memory wire so with the tail extending to the left there is a loop on the right.
b. Bring the left cord under the memory wire and through the loop.
c. Repeat in the opposite direction: left cord over memory wire, right cord under memory wire and through the loop.
