Project Instructions
Step: 1
Jar:
Step: 2
Wipe jar clean with rubbing alcohol.
Step: 3
Use Wicker White to randomly paint about 10 snowflakes of different sizes on each side of the jar. To make a snowflake, paint a vertical line, then a horizontal line that is slightly shorter then two more lines diagonally. When paint is dry, paint dots on each end of snowflake lines.
Step: 4
Use brush handle and Engine Red to paint dots around sides of jar lid. let dry.
Step: 5
Paint a large Wicker White snowflake on top of jar lid; dry.
Step: 6
Air dry for 1 hour, remove plastic seal from jar and bake according to manufacturer's instructions; once cool, replace plastic seal.
Step: 7
Candy Cane:
Step: 8
Use flat brush and Wicker White to basecoat candy cane; let dry.
Step: 9
Use flat brush and Fresh Foliage to basecoat bow; let dry.
Step: 10
Use flat brush and Engine Red to paint stripes on candy cane; let dry.
Step: 11
Use liner brush and Clover to add detail to bow; let dry.
Step: 12
Mix a drop of water and a hint of Vintage White to make a slightly “white water” and paint it onto the edges of the white stripes on candy cane to soften and blend lines; dry.
Step: 13
Mix a drop of water and a hint of Engine Red to make a slightly “red water” and paint it onto the edges of stripes on candy cane to soften and blend lines; dry.
Step: 14
Seal with a layer of Mod Podge Matte.
Step: 15
Remove tie string from the candy cane; shorten to about 1" and replace in the same hole using hot glue.
Step: 16
Tie the ribbon around the jar attaching the candy cane; use a dab of hot glue to secure.
