Soccer Pencil Cube
This clever pencil cube corrals your pencils and keeps you organized. From sports to princess themes, scrapbook papers and embellishments make it easy to personalize a cube of STYROFOAM™ brand foam.

Material List
- STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam Cube: 5-inch
- Scrapbook Papers, your choice of theme
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Thick White Craft Glue
- X-Acto® Knife (optional, or may use scissors)
- Pencil
- Brass Grommets: 3/8-inch (8)
- Scrapbook Embellishments of choice: Stickers, Rub-ons, Buttons, Charms
Project Instructions
Step: 1
Measure and cut five 5 1/8-inch squares of scrapbook paper.
Step: 2
Spread glue on one paper square and adhere to foam cube. Trim excess paper. Repeat until top and four sides are covered. (Note: Papers may appear wavy at first, but will smooth out as the glue dries.)
Step: 3
Use the tip of an X-Acto blade or scissors to make 8 small cuts, evenly spaced and distributed, through the paper on the top of the cube. Insert a pencil through each paper slit and push the pencil straight down 1½ to 2-inches into the foam. Wiggle the pencil to enlarge the holes so that pencils can slip in and out easily.
Step: 4
Spread glue on reverse side of grommet and push into hole until it rests tight against the top of the cube. Repeat until all 8 grommets are inserted in top of cube.
Step: 5
Embellish cube as desired with stickers, rub-ons, buttons and/or charms.
