Project Instructions

Cut top and bottom from soda can with craft knife. Use scissors to cut up one side to create flat piece.

Lay template over desired area of soda can. Trace circle with stylus.

Cut circle(s) from soda can.

Mark eight petals on circle.

Cut along petal lines with scissors and then round corners of each petal. Be sure to round all the cut edges so that there are no sharp corners. The soda can is not sharp as long as you do not leave any sharp corners.

Use stylus to mark lines in each petal.

Turn piece over and use stylus to draw circle in center.

Cut three more flower petal layers from soda can, reducing size of each petal. Cut small circle for flower center. Use scissors to cut along outside edge to create fringe on flower center.

Use Aleene's® Tacky Dot Singles™ to layer the petals and flower center.

Place Aleene's® Tacky Dot Singles™ in flower center and press bead into Tacky Dot. Use fingers to gently pull up the fringe from the flower center to cup around bead. Use Aleene's® Tacky Dot Singles™ to adhere flower to box. If desired, cut small squares of soda cans and use Dots to glue in place on box to create mosaic effect.
