In this pattern, the turning chain does not count as a st. Since the turning chain does not count as a st, do not work into the top of the ch at the end of each row. Row 2: Ch 3 (does not count as a st in this row and in all following rows), turn, dc in first st, *dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st; rep from * across – 601 dc.
Row 3: Ch 3, turn, dc in first st, *dc in the 3 sts, 2 dc in next st; rep from * across – 751 dc.
Row 4: Ch 3, turn, dc in first st, *dc in next 4 sts, 2 dc in next st; rep from * across – 901 dc.
Row 5: Ch 3, turn, dc in first st, *dc in next 5 sts, 2 dc in next st; rep from * across – 1051 dc. Fasten off.
