Decorative orbs are a timeless classic, and are easily made with STYROFOAM™ brand foam. The decorative coverings are endless, from naturals like moss and seashells to the upholstery nails shown here.

Material List
- STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam Ball: 5-inch
- Upholstery Nails: Bronze Plated (we used 275 large)
- Acrylic Craft Paint: Bronze
- Paintbrush
- Chopstick or Skewer
- Glass or Cup
Project Instructions
Step: 1
Insert chopstick or skewer into foam ball and use as a handle while painting.
Step: 2
Paint STYROFOAM brand foam ball with bronze. Place chopstick or skewer in glass while paint dries.
Step: 3
When ball is completely dry, insert upholstery nails into ball until surface is completely covered.
Tips
Use photo as a guide and follow manufacturer’s instructions for all products used.
Paint STYROFOAM brand foam with an acrylic craft paint, or foam-safe spray paint. If using spray paint, read the label carefully to be sure it’s safe for STYROFOAM brand foam.
