Project Instructions

Step: 1

For Each Candleholder: Wash and dry glass bowls. Apply Surface Conditioner; let dry.

Step: 2

Place glass bowl on center of 8&½-inch x 11-inch sheet of paper and use pencil to draw a circle around bottom. Place leaf pattern under paper with rounded bottom of leaf against circle. Trace five leaves evenly spaced around circle.

Step: 3

Place sheet of clear film over circle with five leaves and use Gold accent liner to trace all lines; let dry.

Step: 4

Divide glass bowl into four equal sections and place masking tape vertically dividing each section. Use Gold accent liner to draw four vertical lines dividing each section using tape as a guide; let dry and remove tape. Use Gold accent liner to draw a rounded petal around each vertical gold line and to draw a partial petal between each full petal (for appearance of inner petals of a flower), as shown. Let dry.

Step: 5

Fill in leaves on clear film with Green, shading with Golden Yellow on sides and tips of each leaf. Do not fill in center circle. Let dry and cut out around edges of leaves.

Step: 6

For Red Flower Candleholder: Fill in petals on glass bowl using Ruby Red for main part of petals, shading with Orange at tips and with Clear along edges of large petals. Let dry. Place candle inside glass bowl. Place glass bowl centered on leaves.

Step: 7

For Yellow Flower Candleholder: Fill in petals on glass bowl using Golden Yellow for main part of petals, shading with Clear at tips and along edges of large petals. Shade petals from bottom up with Orange. Let dry. Place candle inside glass bowl. Place glass bowl centered on leaves.
