Thanksgiving Celebration Owl Cupcakes
- Cake Recipe (or Mix) – Flavor of Choice
- Frosting – Chocolate and White
- Cupcake Liners, Standard
- Wilton® Icing Color – Golden Yellow
- Wilton® Decorating Bags – Clear
- Wilton® Couplers
- Wilton® Round Tip – 8
- Fondant Shape and Pulls
- Sliced Almonds
- Chocolate Coated Candies – Orange and Brown
Bake cupcakes in cupcake liners as directed in cake recipe (or on mix package). Let cool.
Cut the tip of a clear decorating bag, drop in tip and add coupler. Add chocolate frosting and pipe onto cupcake as shown.
Tint white icing with Golden Yellow icing color.
Cut the tip of another clear decorating bag, drop in tip and add coupler. Add Golden Yellow frosting and pipe onto cupcake as shown.
Cut orange and brown chocolate coated candies in half. Add orange as feet and brown as ears to the owl cupcake. Leave enough brown chocolate coated candies intact for the eyes.
Add sliced almonds to the front of the owl cupcake.
Add two Slice & Pull fondant rounds to the owl for the large eyes.
Pipe a small drop of icing to the center of the eyes and then place a brown chocolate coated candy on icing.
