Project Instructions

Cut two 12” inch pieces of the 12 gauge aluminum wire.

Cut two 36” inch pieces of the 22 gauge coated craft wire.

Cut six 12” inch pieces of the 24 gauge copper colored craft wire.

Take one piece of 12 gauge aluminum wire and wrap the wire around a mandrel or other object that is about 1 ¼” inches in diameter. The wire ends should overlap.

Take one end of overlapped wire and wrap it tightly around both wires. Repeat for the other side.

Use the flush cutter to trim off any excess wire. Use the chain nose pliers to tuck the ends in and file off jagged ends if needed.

Separate the two wires on the opposite side from where they are wrapped.

This is the napkin ring base.

Take one 36” inch piece of 22 gauge coated craft wire and wrap it tightly around the rings, begin at the base of the rings and continue until both rings are covered. Trim and tuck the wire ends, file off jagged ends if needed.

Create the Beaded Flowers: take one 12” inch piece of 24 gauge copper colored craft wire, thread on a 6mm Deep Brown Pearl bead, bring the wires under the pearl and twist the wire once.

On one end of the wire, thread on nine 4mm beads: two Siam, five Lt Topaz, and two Siam beads.

Wrap the wire under the Pearl.

Repeat this step two more times. Repeat steps 11 and 12 to create two more flowers.

Use 6mm Deep Brown Pearl beads for the center of both flowers; make one small flower with seven 4mm beads: two Crystal Copper, three Golden Shadow, and two Crystal Copper; make one larger flower with 4mm and 6mm Olivine beads: two 6mm, three 4mm and two 6mm beads.

Attach one flower to the napkin ring frame, hold the flower loosely between the rings and wrap the wires around the napkin ring.

Repeat for the two remaining flowers.

Repeat with the other two flowers. Trim and tuck the wire ends.

Repeat steps 4 through - 16 for the other napkin ring.

Tips

You can match the holiday, season, mood or décor by simply changing the color of the crystals.
