Step: 1

Using the 1” sponge brush, basecoat the large bee with Mustard Yellow (avoid wings). Apply several coats, allowing the piece to dry between coats. Load the brush with Light Yellow and paint a thin coat to brighten and lighten the yellow side of the door hanger. Sand as needed.

Step: 2

Using a #12 flat brush, basecoat the wings of the large bee with White. Apply several coats. Sand as needed.

Step: 3

While you have the brush loaded with White, basecoat the flowers. Apply several coats. Sand as needed.

Step: 4

Using a #8 flat brush, paint the antennae on the bee and his stripes Black. Apply several coats.

Step: 5

Load the #12 flat brush with Mustard Yellow and basecoat small wood knobs for flower centers. Using the black pointed tip marker, draw stitching around bee’s wings and flower petals and the mouth of the bee.

Step: 6

Load and stamp the appropriate letters by using the number #8 flat brush loaded with Black. Load the letters each time you stamp them.

Step: 7

Glue the flower centers to the flowers, the eyes on the bee, and the bees and beehive to the push pins.

Step: 8

Glue the flowers and large bee to the outer edges of the bulletin board.
