Using scissors cut around the Gypsy Moon pattern.
Clean the surface of the table with a paper towel to remove dust or wood particles. Place carbon paper (carbon side down) in the center of the table and trace over pattern with a ballpoint pen. Remove paper and pattern darken lines with a marker.
Using a wheeled glass nipper, nip white iridescent tiles into random shapes and sizes. Use tiles to fill in the Gypsy Moon. For nipping instructions, watch a video in our Creative Corner at www.diamondtechcrafts.com. Pieces should fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. Leave approximately 1/8” space between tile pieces and along the edge of the table for grout.
When satisfied with the placement, lift and apply glue to the backside of each piece of tile, press firmly into place.
Randomly place several stars in the area of the sky around the moon, glue into place.
Nip dark blue iridescent tiles in the same fashion as the moon and fill in the area around the moon and stars, glue into place. Allow glue to thoroughly dry.
Wearing rubber gloves follow the directions on the grout package and mix the grout.
Spread grout over entire tabletop working the grout into the spaces between the tiles with your hands or a rubber spatula.
Remove excess grout with sponge and let set for 30 minutes.
Wipe away haze and buff glass with a soft cloth.
Allow project to completely dry for 24 hours. A grout sealant may be applied if desired.
Apply as directed, but remove sealant from the glass with a paper towel before sealant dries.
