Project Instructions

Canvas 1 (Top)

Paint canvas board using Ranger Distress Crackle Paint. Let dry completely so that it crackles properly.

Lightly dry brush a little white paint around the front edges of the canvas. Let dry.

Using a paper towel, rub in watered-down Burnt Umber paint to fill in some of the cracks. Further antique the canvas as desired.

Cut a house shape out of the music note paper. Create the roof border by cutting two strips of paper to fit and punch with a decorative edge punch. Adhere to the roofline of the house.

Cut out the windows and door from the eggs on one of the papers in the pad. Adhere to house. Stamp sentiment onto canvas using black ink. Ink the edges of the house using the Vintage Photo ink pad by running the pad along the edges. Adhere house to canvas using gel medium.

Cut out bird from paper and adhere as shown. Add strips of tissue tape and stamp the sentiment onto the canvas. Using the clear fragment charms, snap off the top portion of the piece and adhere over the window and door using Glossy Accents™. Attach the metal lock to the house using gel medium. Further enhance using the Small dot stencil (we used Punchanella, available in limited stores), Burnt Umber paint and sponge dauber as desired. Punch 2 holes in top corners using Cropodile. Lay the 5 x 7 canvas vertically under the 8 x 10 canvas to line up and punch holes. Set eyelets.

Canvas 2 (Middle)

Paint the canvas board using Buff paint. Rub the Vintage Photo and Peeled Paint ink along the edges and the top of the canvas to antique it.

Trim paper to 5"x7". Adhere to center of canvas using gel medium.

Add tissue tape as desired.

Cut out the saying from the paper pad and mat onto the cream cardstock, trim to desired size and adhere to the center of the canvas.

Adhere the keyhole as shown using gel medium. Punch holes in four corners using Cropodile. Set eyelets.

Canvas 3 (Bottom)

Repeat Step 1 for canvas board preparation.

Trim paper adornments as shown and adhere to the canvas board as shown.

Stamp the sentiment using black ink. Further antique as desired.

Punch two holes in the top of the canvas to line up with the bottom two holes from the 5"x7" canvas board. Punch one hole in the middle bottom of the canvas.

Add a jump ring and a key.

Connect the 3 canvas boards using the chain. Make a hanger from the chain for the top holes.
