Jewelry Twists Three Color Flower Choker or Headband
Twist together three colors of strands to create a flower choker that can double as a headband.
Designed by Wendy Cooper
- Jewelry Twist Strands – White (2), Fuchsia (1) and Eggplant (1)
- Jewelry Twist Connector
- Needle and Thread
Take one of each color of Jewelry Twist strands (reserving one White strand for the necklace/headband) and double them. Hold at one end with three fingers, creating a loop.
With other hand, twist strands seven to eight times, coiling the 3-color twist around itself to resemble a flower. Once fully twisted and coiled, maneuver the ends to the back of the flower. Stitch ends to the back to hold in place.
Keeping the “loop” created by your three fingers in the center-back of flower, sew in place with more stitches. Sew the coils in place, hiding stitches in the back.
To make a choker necklace, take the second White Jewelry Twist strand and double it. Slip the doubled strand through back “loop” of flower. Use a connector to attach ends. Wear flower front and center or shifted to the side.
For a headband, take second White Jewelry Twist strand (note- strand is not to be doubled for this step) and slip through back “loop” of flower. Move flower about 1/3 of the way down the strand. To make a headband length, triple wrap the strand. The tripled strand will fit most heads comfortably. Adjust so flower is slightly above one ear.
