  • Jewelry Twist “Pocket Watch” Toggle Connector
  • Pin Back
  • Needle and Thread
  • Scissors
  • Low Heat Glue Gun

Project Instructions

Take both Black Jewelry Twist strands and hold together. Attach to connector by inserting one end of the Jewelry Twist strands through the small ring of the connector about 1-2". Then thread the long ends of the strands back through the 1-2" loop. Pull tight.

Lay flat on work area with connector to the left and strands hanging down. Adjust and reposition strands so that one strand (strand A) has both sides on the outside and the other strand (strand B) is in the middle.

Now reposition the hanging of the strands, drawing the bottom of the strands over to the right and upwards to be even with the connector, creating a tiered look. Strand A will be the lowest loop and the highest loop of the tiered necklace. Strand B will be the two middle loops of the tiered necklace.

Once you have determined the right tier lengths, carefully gather the strands tiered over to the right (“gather” area), keeping the tiers intact. Make a simple overhand knot, creating a small (1/2 to 1”) loop. Necklace part is complete. To wear, attach this loop to the large hinged part of the connector.

Take one Lt. Pink Jewelry Twist strand and make a triple loop (that is, loop the strand around three times, being sure to even-out the loops so they are all equal). Hold one end tightly in one hand. With other hand (using a finger or two), twist strand 12 to 15 times, guiding twist so it coils around resembling a flower. Once coil is complete, maneuver ends to the back of the flower.

Hold flower tightly in one hand, being careful to keep both the beginning-ends and the ending-ends secure in the back of the flower. Stitch in back, catching all ends. To further secure the flower, make some hidden stitches through the middle of the flower, catching the coils to hold them in place.

Repeat these flower making instructions with the Fuchsia Jewelry Twist strand, sewing securely in the back.

Cut the second Lt. Pink strand into two equal pieces. Note: Only half will be used. Save the other half for another project. Fold piece in half, then fold in half again. Hold end with cut edges tightly in one hand. With the other hand (using a finger or two), twist the folded strand 8 to 10 times, guiding twist so it coils around resembling a flower. Once coil is complete maneuver ends to the back of the flower.

Hold flower tightly in one hand, being careful to keep both the beginning-ends and the ending-ends secure in the back. Stitch in back, catching all ends. To further secure flower, make some hidden stitches through the middle of the flower catching the coils to hold them in place.

Arrange the three flowers into a triangular cluster and stitch them together. Sew or glue on the pin back towards the top of the cluster. Once pin is complete, attach to tiered necklace by pinning it just under the connector.
