Project Instructions

Step: 1

Attach the toggle clasps to a short length of masking tape; the tape creates a temporary backing which will contain the EasyCast™ epoxy. Take care to press the toggle firmly against the tape to prevent leaking.

Step: 2

Cut shapes from scrapbook paper to fit into toggle opening, two shapes for each toggle, set aside half of the cutout shapes for later use. Very gently place the paper into the toggle opening, don’t press the paper down onto tape as much as simply position the paper within the opening. If using beads or glitter, just stack a pile into the toggle opening. Don’t press these items into tape, just set them into the opening.

Step: 3

Cover work space area with plastic sheet and tape into place. The tape strip holding the toggles should be taped to the floor tile to hold it in place. Mix EasyCast™ according to package instructions. Use eye dropper or a clean mixing stick to carefully apply a small amount of EasyCast into each toggle opening. After a few minutes, blow through a straw to pop bubbles in the EasyCast™. Let cure for 24 hours.

Step: 4

Gently remove the toggles from tape. Turn toggle over and carefully place onto a fresh piece of tape but barely press the toggle down onto tape. Glue the retained cut paper shapes into the toggle openings. Mix and apply EasyCast™ to second side and let cure for 24 hours. For toggles that are lumpy with beads on one side, turn toggle over and very carefully put a few drops of EasyCast™ on the back side of toggle. If EasyCast™ flows off of toggle, use scissors to trim excess epoxy after curing. The toggle charms are now complete.

Step: 5

Remove some links from the bracelet chain and use as jump rings to attach the toggle charms to the bracelet. Attach lobster claw clasp.

Tips

When selecting paper, remember that the toggle is fairly small so compact designs often look best.
