Craft Notes

Adult supervision is required at all times. Decide on the topics for the tabs. Some examples are: Itinerary, Sights to See, Daily Journal, etc.

Explain to the students that they are on assignment for National Geographic and will be taking a trip around the world, stopping in six major cities, one for each major continent (excluding Antarctica). They must keep a travel log (how many hours does it take to travel from one city to the next, what kinds of food are they eating, what are the cultural points of interest, what are the people who live there like, etc.), and make daily reports. The students must use a time zone map to be able to contact their editors back home (departing city) at 9 AM with their daily report. Have the students share their travel logs with the rest of the class.
