Project Instructions

Cut all wires to size: one 6" piece of 20 ga., four 10" pieces of 24 ga. and one 12" of 26ga.

Step 2 Using Beadalon® chain nose pliers, take 26 ga. wire and make hook about ¼" 1ong.

Step 3 Keeping 20 ga. wire in center, line up two 24 ga. wires on either side.

Step 4 Use ruler to find center of wire. Place 26 ga. hook around the center and begin to make six tight wraps. NOTE: All wraps should be tight and touching. Trim 26 ga. wire.

Step 5 Approximately ¾" from the center repeat Step 4.

NOTE: All wraps should start and stop on same side of the wire. You now have two wraps.

Step 6 Repeat on opposite side. You should have three separate wraps.

Step 7 Position center wrap at the point of the heart and begin to shape wire around the heart-shaped cabochon. NOTE: When shaping wire, be sure to keep 20 ga. wire in center and other wires flat.

Step 8 Make hook on 26 ga. wire.

Step 9 Once you have shaped your wires, hook 26 ga. around top where they meet. Make five tight wraps, but DO NOT TRIM THE 26 ga. WIRE.

Step 10 Separate wires, leaving the two 20 ga. wires straight up. Each side should have four 24 ga. wires.

Step 11 Using Beadalon® bale tool, wrap two 20 ga. wires around top to shape your pendant bale.

Step 12 Using Beadalon® chain nose pliers, bend wires up, just behind the 26 ga. wraps.

Step 13 Take excess 26 ga. wire and wrap it around the bale wire where the wires are bent up. This will secure your bale.

Step 14 Trim excess 26 ga. and 20 ga. wires. NOTE: The side where you cut your 20 ga. wire is the back of the pendant.

Step 15 Lay pendant on its front.

Step 16 Using Beadalon® chain nose pliers, begin to pull 24 ga. wires toward center. Start with outside wires, the pull next level. Repeat this step between each of four bound sections.

Step 17 Pop heart cabochon into place and repeat Step 16 on front of pendant.

Step 18 At top of pendant, pull front two 24 ga. wires downward.

Step 19 Feed ends through the metal turquoise slider and pull to the top.

Step 20 Slide right wire up and around the bale to secure into place.

Step 21 Repeat with left wire. Check to be sure metal turquoise slider is straight.

Step 22 Trim ends of both of these wires so they are same length.

Step 23 Slide one clear bead (comes with metal turquoise slider package) onto the wire.

Step 24 Using Beadalon® round nose pliers begin to curl one of those wires.

Step 25 Repeat with opposite wire. Your metal turquoise slider should now be secure.

Step 26 Repeat Step 24 with remaining six 24 ga. wires.

Step 27 Position curls to achieve the look you desire.

Step 28 Run hand over ends to ensure there are no sharp edges. If there are, use round nose pliers to tuck them in.

If you want all curls to be same size, trim wires to same length before curling. (Shown with various lengths of wire.)
